The Liberals will never, ever do it. It would be probably impossible to do before October, and frankly, unhinged to try to get it done before then, even if only from a logistical standpoint.

The fact that JT spent a decade not doing it, is forever a black mark on the Liberal party, imo. And in choosing to not do it, in effect, the Liberals salted the earth on the topic of electoral reform. Anyone who promises it now is going to get laughed out of the room.

Electoral reform is a symbol of the Liberal carrot and stick politics of the past decade.
