People should be allowed to grow from their mistakes. The issue here is that she had to be intentionally ignorant to miss the fact that Trump wanted to cut funding. Like at a certain point, the ignorance becomes maliciously intentional.
If she’s really willing to give up that willful ignorance, then that’s great! But in many recent cases, the “regret” is performative so they can get screenshots of comments just like yours. Then they take them and go crying back to the republican echo chambers about “waaaaah the libruls were mean to me so I’m gonna keep being republican instead. So much for the tolerant left.”
