There is definitely love and passion behind this. I will be checking it out.

That being said, I don't expect it to be good. I think they'll do the best they can with what they have, but the effects and things that just don't translate from anime to live action will hurt it. Although, one thing that was pointed out to me earlier is that despite it being years and years since the Pirates of the Caribbean came out, no one has been able to hit the same bar of realistic looking monster fishmen like that movie. Shame they couldn't get the people behind that movie to do the fishmen for this show.
