Memes that are too meirl for /c/meirl.

Rules:

  1. Respect the community. If you're not into self-deprecating/dark/suicidal humor then this place isn't for you. Kindly just block and move on. This is just how some of us cope.

  2. Respect one another.

  3. All titles must begin with 2meirl4meirl. This is for multiple reasons. One is just so you can be lazy with titles but another is so people who aren't into this kind of humor can avoid it.

  4. Otherwise just the general no bigotry, no dickishness, no spam, no malice, etc stuff.

Sidebar will be updated when I feel like and considering I'm Sadboi extraordinaire we'll see when that will be.

My doctor told me the best way to heal my back was to take a few weeks off work. She didn't understand why I was laughing my ass off, till I reminded her that most people don't get paid time off. Doctors kinda live on the moon in terms of what the rest of us can get

most people don’t get paid time off

WTF really? I know workers get fucked really bad in the US, but do most people not get time off at all?

The minimum for New York is 40 hours of sick time a year that has to be earned. This had to be fought for.

Sick time allowance is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard as an European, if you are sick you are sick until you are not sick, it's not the company that decides when you are cured.

It's bad policy too, it encourages people to go to work while ill, spreading illness along their workmates

I had a boss that would send you immediately home if you came to work with a visible cold, he would say I rather have one person home now than have the whole office sick in the coming weeks

Same here in Minnesota, although that only started in 2024
