Ugh..
I know this track has historical value, but it's so insanely boring. The only time it got remotely interesting was because of the rain, which forced strategic decisions and more errors happening.
Other than that it's a boring ass track, weren't there like only 4 overtakes during the entire last race there? The only thing that matters is qualifying and not messing up tire strategy, there is no actual race involved anymore.
Monaco is boring, but I'll take it over another parking lot in a desert country any day.
Oh I definitely prefer it over the completely atmosphereless desert night races, but at least they can race and overtake on those.
I wish they could alter Monaco, or extend it beyond their borders or something.
I wouldn't mind a few less races a year either, and if Monaco were one of those they had to drop I'd be fine with that.
Or make the cars smaller again. They're finally getting smaller in 2026 but in the long term they should aim for v10 era size cars IMO.
They should add sprinklers.
The race is boring in dry conditions, the qualifying is some of the tensest stuff of the season though. I'm happy it stays on the calendar.
I typically just ignore the weekend and check the results/highlights at the end of it. Thereβs no reason to get up that early to watch a procession.
