  • Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts Tabak Oridjinal, now with 28 mm Gelousy knot
  • Razor: Thiers Issard 14 Médaille d'Or 1921 Exposition d'Algier Acier Spécial (7/8", extra hollow, square point, carbon steel)
  • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
  • Post Shave: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
  • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original

The penultimate Stankening of TabOKtoberfest 2024 was a nice one. The Médaille d'Or with the pitted surface is a smooth loud shaver that is a joy to use. I like its utilitarian design. There's nothing opulent about it. No fancy gold, no flashy special point design, just a big square point hollow ground that shaves well.

I love the character in these old straights. The ornate etchings and gold watches used in the early 20th century is really special. Great pic, btw!
