"It may be 2D, but--" underlines why SotN was a cult classic and not a runaway success. Late-90s gamers did not give the tiniest shit about 2D. Everything was trying to shift to 3D even though most of it suuuuhucked.

OSSM and CVG were always big proponents of 2D games, even when 3D became all the rage.
