I've been there, ugh. Gentle hugs. I used to wake up around 1:30-2am with my heart pounding and in the midst of a panic attack. For some reason it helped me to ask myself, "what exactly am I anxious about and can I do anything about it right now?" It's an awful feeling for sure.

Added fun if you're afab: if you have no stressors you're aware of, go see a doctor. Feelings of dread and heart racing can be indicative of cardio problems, we present differently to amabs
