Hi lemmings,

I've been asked to do DM a D&D introduction one-shot at work. I work in IT, and there are - as expected - a few nerds who are interested in dipping their toes in the warm TTRPG waters.

I've already run "The Wild Sheep Chase" (revised to be compatible with level 1 characters) in the past, to great success. But they want more!

Have you run short 2-3 hour one-shot adventures? Care to share them with me? I'm not against shopping around on the DM's Guild either, but there's ALOT. So I figured I could ask you guys to give me some pointers!

One of my favourite introductory one shots was giving everyone an empty character sheet (excluding equipment) and letting them know their characters had amnesia. I'd written up sheets for everyone in advance, and only told them an ability score, or skill score when they actually tried to do it. Might not work for everyone, but it got them to try lots of different things!

In the end everyone had a decent idea of what their characters could do and we took those characters into a more regular game!

Edit: I should add that the actual adventure was rather generic, defend the Abbey against the bandits, with a few simple skill checks for stuff like climbing, investigation, knowledge etc.
