Worth noting, that the person who feels like they won the debate won't want more because it can only hurt them. He probably thinks he won.

It could be either; he thinks he won or he knows he lost and has no hope of improving.

Fwiw I think the few undecideds that are left probably saw what they needed to make their decision last night.

The behaviour is also consistent with someone who knows they lost and expects to lose hard again if there's a rematch. Maybe even more so if he had the impression he was holding his own while it was going and then saw what everyone else was saying after the fact.
