Well, Iran and their allies' response may happen sometime this week and apparently they aren't talking to the US in order to negotiate how and where they will hit Israel (and Shoigu arrived in Tehran rather auspiciously), the Bangladeshi government just fell, F16s have been given to Ukraine, there are fascist riots in the UK, and Japan just had its worst stock fall since 1987 and seems to be taking several other countries/corporations with it. I don't really know where to look right now.

It's a win-win for them to call electoral fraud. Either it works and they get to do a soft coup, or it doesn't work and everyone becomes jaded and cynical about people crying wolf of electoral fraud. The next time they're in power eventually when the pendulum swings they can then openly rig elections and secure their positions and the populace will just feel hopeless in the muddy water of "two corrupt sides" when the left opposition calls out the rightwing fraud.

I noticed this too. Maybe I was too young to remember pre-Trump politics, but I can’t recall many news stories or real people complaining about “stolen elections”, usually just complaining about other voters. But after Trump, every election is stolen lol, and of course liberals will fuel it even to their own detriment.
