Is it worth it to get into VR? Been tempted to get a index or new meta 3 headset since Alyx and Boneworks seem interesting
You can get an oculus quest 2 for like $150-200 on the used market and stream from your gaming computer to the headset over wifi. It's unlikely your computer is powerful enough for the visual fidelity to make a difference between the quest 2 and 3. Pick one up and try it out.
Yeah I'm just thinking Index because game stop is selling the full kit for 599 compared to the 1k that valve was and still expecting people to shell out, will likely try a meta quest first then though since i also would love something that is wireless enabled
I enjoy my index quite a bit. Play walkabout mini golf with friends all the time, and really love VR sim racing with modded assetto corsa. I'd say it's worth it but I'm a 'hardcore gamer' or something lol so I dunno. Alyx was really mind blowing tho
