A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Young people these days only use the word "slut" in dirty talk, such that calling someone a slut in polite company is now unacceptable. The sluts stole the word for themselves. Great job, sluts! (aussie.zone)

Your group of friends or whatever anecdotally only use it like you’re describing. But I have heard it recently being used derogatory
