chinese style, or "basically boiled egg" style?

Chinese style. Worked I think. Veeerrrry silky. Needs hot sauce with them. Nice change from scrambled.

I’m too lazy to steam. Now I just microwave.

I’ve had an egg explode before when I was doing an egg in a cup to emulate a poached egg.

The clean up wasn’t so nice.

I think the trick is to take the shell off first. And prick the yolk with a needle if cooking in a microwave. Have had eggs explode in the microwave when I didn't do this. Usually don't need to prick an egg if poaching it in the open so to speak.

Oh the egg was out of its shell sitting in some water in a mug.

It worked a couple of times but one time the egg white exploded all over the inside of the microwave.

Not sure if it was because it built up too much heat and caused a hot air pocket to form.

Yoke was still intact though.

that happened to me once. I only microwave beaten egg ever since
