Got called out for your bullshit here, I see. Biden is spreading it around, as other posters have said, touring this massive country of 300+ million fucking people as best as one man possibly can. And while I'm not thrilled with everything he's done, I'm still voting for him. Why? Because it's the best thing to do. I should do it. And so should you. Fuck off with the bullshit already. November is a choice between two visions for America. One gets us in line with other countries by reining in Student Loan payments, improving our infrastructure, and generally making progress fast enough to affect us in this lifetime, while not giving the Right extra motivation to go hate-vote our guys and gals out, and the Centre more motivation to stay home, vote third party, or even join the Right in voting our guys and gals out. The other...is fucking Project 2025. Go look that shit up if you don't know about it. Apparently 2/3rds of the country doesn't realise how much of a threat it really is.
I don't expect a civil answer but:
Can you provide a source for him doing voter outreach in Detroit then?
I tried your link, but that's some blog thing. Not a source for Biden in Detroit.
Edit:
Seriously, I'd be really really happy to hear about it...
I don't know why you think I'm trying to offend Biden by saying this would help his campaign. If someone does provide a link about recent campaigning in Detroit (or any other poor disenfranchised area). I'd be a lot less worried he's gonna be able to beat Trump.
I don't know why so many people think questioning Biden's campaign strategy means I want him to lose.
It probably doesn't help that you had this interaction I'm replying to 50 minutes ago while ignoring this reply to you from 13 hours ago? (link and pictures below)
https://lemmy.ml/post/16961097/11704724
Apparently I've blocked that account at some point in the last year.
So I never see anything that account says.
I've got a couple instances blocked too. But with a blocked instance you see comments but don't get notifications.
Like, you're from lemmy.ml, and I blocked that instance a while ago. So if you reply, I won't notice unless I happen to come back to this page and see it. I only noticed this one because someone else made another reply about the same time you did.
I didn't know that would happen when I blocked .ml, I was just tired of accidentally wandering into a .ml sub. Kind of a happy surprise tho.
But my point is, don't just assume what you see on Lemmy is what other people are seeing. Especially if they're not your instance.
Fair, but I frankly find your original assertions rather thin given this evidence (which would likely have come up in a quick google search)
It makes it easy to believe that your goal is a Trump presidency, not fair criticism of Dems or Biden, regardless of whether this specific post was hidden from you. I doubt they did any deep sleuthing to come up with those photos and articles.
Edit: ddg search limited to 2024: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=biden+visits+michigan&t=ffab&df=2024-01-01..2024-06-17&ia=web
I use duckduckgo rather than Google.
You can try for yourself and see what happens when you search "Biden Detroit" it's just from when he drove that EV Vette.
Now, had I narrowed the search down to only results from 2024, I probably would have seen that.
But I didn't. I'm killing time when I have a free minute here and there. I assumed that it would put a recent visit on the top.
It could very well be that I've blocked the few that are on Lemmy, but I can't remember the last time I saw a pro-trump comment on here.
Like, there was a conservative sub on another instance, but when a mod told me that accusing someone of racism was racist, I reported their comment for racism.
Because logically, accusing someone of racism for accusing someone of racism is still racism by their own rules.
I got a 3 day ban from my own instance for that somehow. Which seemed a little excessive for trying to prove a point. So obviously I blocked that community and don't see it anymore.
But anyways, I think with the lack of actual trump supporters on Lemmy, people go looking for an argument. So when I talk about stuff like:
If I'm wrong and Biden has ever done _____ people want to turn it into some kind of "slam".
There's just not enough trumpets for people to argue with here.
People are just angry and want someone to take it out on.
In all seriousness, were these not your words?
That whole blah blah blah George Clooney thing is damn near a quote of my maga brother in law, but setting that aside, I don't really think that is the same tone as your madlib.
Edit: Quoted the wrong madlib.
Edit2: I've gone way deeper than I intended in this discussion. I think we get where each other stands, and that's good enough!
People replying to you aren't being petty, you carry yourself in a very aggressive way and I don't think you realize it.
You made up a narrative without any evidence to back it up, people corrected you with references, but you ignore them because you've blocked any view that causes your blood pressure to rise.
People are responding to you like this because you present yourself absurdly and then defend it absurdly.
One of the few posters I honestly think is a troll, I'm just not sure if you realize it or not.

Thanks!
The name of the shop let me find an article
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-battleground-state-black-voters-two-big-speeches-morehead-naacp-georgia-michigan/
After a NAACP speech he stopped by a local business and did do some voter outreach
You're welcome.
So is it that you don’t trust government sources?
Nope, but if you clicked the link it was just a transcript of what he said.
Which is important and usually better than an article
But I was specifically looking for information about the event, which a transcript doesn't provide.
But at the top of the page, it does mention the name of the location. Which was enough for me to find the article.
