Was thinking about Marx theory through a modern day lens. Considering the monumental changes in globalization of production, labor, late stage capitalism etc. Found this paper interesting.

This video covers the rise and fall of the red guards (later known as the CR-CPUSA) from the perspective of an anonymous former member. This former member, like a lot of the old movement, failed to understand the trappings of the old lumpen leadership and instead blamed the collapse on "Gonzoloism" This move was extremely damaging to the movement, and mislead hundreds about the nature of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism by only further tying those who purported Gonzalo thought in name only to the lumpen gangsterism of the cliquish old leaders and, instead of a restructuring, completely liquidated the CR-CPUSA. Read "The Collapse" for a thorough, if not slightly biased chronicle of this collapse.

Declaring Gonzalo thought "Revisionist" within the first 10 minutes should be enough to prove to you the right-deviationism of the hosts and their guest, who later goes on to completely disregard the peoples war in Peru and, contradictorily, claims that the CPP were somehow "good Maoists" while simultaneously "distorting Maoism". Their guest further explains the over-militarization of the old movement, pinning it again onto "Gonzaloism" and not the mistakes of the old leadership. They again contradict themselves when they say later on they didn't fully understand what militarization is.

This cannot be perceived as anything but right-deviationist revisionism that aims to defer the revolutionary path of Maoism as a developing science in favor of an almost Trotskyite adherence to some orthodox "Maoism" that is not Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. This needs to be debated, combatted, and disproved. And if any comrades have questions, feel free to let them be known.

One of the best resources for new socialists or anybody who just wants to know what it’s all about. Short, digestible, and understandable. Listen if you have time or you just need a refresher!

This might as well be a Dankey Kang community but I’m just trying to fill the space out with some good educational videos while I think of some more questions. Would y’all like to see anything in particular?

This episode talks about dialectical and historical materialism, the three laws of dialectics and contradiction.

What infrastructure do you think is the most communist? Human centered? Industry centered? Something else? What needs to be transformed in modern capitalist society to get to that point? And, most importantly, why are trains so awesome?

I personally think the communist city is not as centralized, instead spread out over the world in mid rise multi family blocks surrounded by farms (as common property using local crops along with whatever a citizen may want to grow should they acquire the seeds and means to care for them) and automated industry running on clean energy like fusion. I think the decentralization of the city re-enforces the masses and communism as whole. This, I think, also doesn’t really need cars. Once the city is totalizing and fully realized it would be a failure of infrastructure to not have easy and reliable public transportation like rail.

Episode 3 of this great series I’m posting here daily. This one covers the evolution of the science up to its latest development into Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, being preceded by Marxism-Leninism and Marxism before that.

Clearing up the different definitions and historical contexts of Mao-Zedong Thought and how it is synthesized into Marxism-Leninism-Maoism in the 1990s with development starting in the 1960s

In as simple or complex terms as you’d like. I have always described it as a “Deviation from the revolutionary line for purpose of capitalization, consolidation, or destruction of the Mass line in favor of the party bourgeois, landholders, etc” and a fundamental abandonment of scientific socialism in favor of pragmatic adoption of anti-socialist policy that does not lay the groundwork for communism.

There are, however, retreats back while remaining on the socialist road. In the USSR the NEP was used to maintain the socialist road after the civil war in a time of crisis (as opposed to the capitalist roading in the CCP on the back of steady economic, poltical and population growth during the GPCR), which still remains on the socialist road. The revolutionary line is still upheld and the contradictions of state are still resolved by a party of the proletariat.

Do you disagree? Have something to add? Let me know! Just remember to keep it civil and principled.

For me: It is simply love. Love of my neighbors and my friends, and the love of the masses. I am also a very realistic person, so I understand the necessity of the masses leading a future of wealth and prosperity, as opposed to the few,

Why are you? No wrong answers.

Welcome! I figured I should make this community to post about what interests me, but I would love any contributions from my other comrades who come across this page. Remember, keep discussion cordial and principled!

A great video from Marxism Today talking about Movementism, Mao's Youth and what Marxist-Leninist-Maoist theory can do for the Anarchists, especially within the imperial core.

"The Activist Study (Araling Aktibista), or ARAK as it’s known, is part of the required study for activists in the Filipino revolutionary movement. The study includes Mao Zedong’s Five Golden Rays, along with lessons on Revolutionary Study and Analysis, the Mass Line, and Democratic Centralism and the Committee System–all essential texts for studying and forming revolutionary practice." - Foreign Languages Press

Hosted by the talented Queer_Bolshevik on Medium. This was made following the liquidation of the CR-CPUSA and the construction of the Revolutionary Study Group earlier this year.
