This happens at the end of the game. AI Colonel and Rose mention that Shadow Moses was chosen as a template for the S3 plan because of its harshness. Rose then jokes, "I wonder if you would've preferred a fantasy setting?" and Colonel chuckles.

This sticks out to me, being a huge fan of fantasy games. I wonder if they just took a shot in the dark and it happened to land on me. I get similar feelings to Psycho Mantis reading our memory cards and mentioning the games we play.

Is there something else to this quote? Does anyone have any ideas on why it may have been included?

Was Big Boss actually in the game? It's supposed to be him in the opening with the bandage? Does he reappear for real?

It's been awhile since I last played

Had this pop up in my YouTube feed less than 2k views on it but thought people here might be interested. (She talks more in the stream than she did in the game)

Does anyone else think Gray Fox is kind of inconsistent? I just finished MGS1 (again) and he said fighting was the only thing he was ever good at, but at least he "always fought for what he believed in." Did he believe in killing Naomi's parents? What about all the other innocent people he's killed? I'm reading through the stories of MG1 and 2 to see if it would shed some light on this, but nope. It looks like Gray Fox is a legit madman with no morals that just wants to kill Snake. I mean, he even kills the lady he was engaged with and doesn't bat an eye. That really doesn't sound like "fighting for what he believes in," unless he's just admitting he's a shitty person when he said that line.

Leftfield's "Release the Pressure" came up on my rotation the other day and I thought at first it was the MGS1 menu theme. See for yourself:

Hey, all. I recently found a brilliant indie stealth game for PC called Swirl W@tch. It shares some similarities with MGSV, submarine sims, and top-down action games (such as Hotline Miami). However, it stands apart from its inspirations as something truly unique. It also has a cool aesthetic and soundscape. I'm not affiliated with the dev, I just thought it was a shame more people don't know about it, especially in this community! Please leave a good review if you dig it, so the dev can keep working on it and other games!

It's on Steam, but you should buy it on itch.io where it's on sale, and you'll still get a Steam key. https://sleeper-games.itch.io/swirl-watch

TLDR: You can basically Fulton spaceships.

I mean I'm new to Metal Gear and all but it is inconceivable that I spent 90 hours on MGS1 so far! I mean some Bosses are tough to beat but all I played was a few hours on some weekends and an hour or two occasionally on a weekday, the game shouldn't take 12 hours so where do these 90 hours come from?

Looks too much like the area south of Lamar Khante Palace in MGSV.

I was listening to a movie podcast earlier today and they were reviewing Extraction 2 and someone mentioned they would like to see Hemsworth play Snake. Never occured to me but I think he would make an awesome Snake. Thoughts?

I ordered a box years ago out of curiosity and they''re actually pretty good. I'm thinking about buying a few boxes for a marathon of the series in the lead up to the remake.
