Until I read the caption I thought I was looking at giant fingers grabbing the dwarf to stick him in the computer slot

Fuck yeah, give me some of those fantasy cheese wheels

The funny thing is cheese wheels are real. But you have to be in a fantasy environment to see them being taken seriously by the general public.

Half your buildings look like fantasy set pieces, so they're still correct.

Capricious tricksters, who like screwing over humans when they get the chance?

Or farmer. Or people that can afford good food.

Now I can't remember which of my local shops has The Wheel they buy every year of sharp cheddar. It's as tall as I am when it gets in. I think i know who it is, but it's gonna be at least two weeks, more like a month before I can make it to that city again so no promises on photos. I get to visit my favorite grocer on Monday tho, and their cheese section is larger than my home.

Saw one in a mall once (I live in Argentina so it was really rare). It costed about the same as an used car lol

I want to eat that cheese with a dagger, a loaf of bread and something in a mug

[–] Lwaxana@startrek.website 5 points 8 months ago

I want to eat them with a computer terminal interface comprised of physical switches and blinky lights.

We are the same.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

There is a chain grocery by my house that sells them. The urge to spend my budget on a fucking cheese wheel is immense.

"A most efficient cheese, Captain."

Get the cheese to sick bay.

The TOS cheese dispensers were obviously fake; you could see the actor putting the slice in the slot before taking it out, and sometimes the cheese wasn't even yellow.

I am tempted to ignore it and say "Oh, well, they probably didn't have the budget for real cheese" but that is inexcusable.

Dutch vs US "cheese"?
