As VR becomes more and more prominent I'm curious about personal anecdotes with more extreme play sessions. Disorientation is already a documented occurrence before getting your proverbial VR legs but after talking with a friend it seems it could be more extreme over long play sessions.

I personally have only used VR in roughly hour spurts. I've had occasionally oopsies like trying to lean on a VR object but a friend of mine "played through Resident Evil Village VR start to finish 2 times in one weekend". When he went to work the next day he kept getting briefly confused when he seen his arms because there were no arms in VR only hands. His memory of the weekend was also fuzzy to the point he was having trouble separating when he was and wasn't in VR.

Have you had anything like this happen? I know 'gamers' are no strangers to extremely long play sessions so these occurrences could get more and more frequent over time.

I always feel dizzy and nauseated after a few hours of non stop VR gaming. But if the games are good, it's worth the dopamine depletion along with the other side effects lol
