Ugh, but I would have to install Ubisoft Connect.

For that much drive space, I could have the entire despecialized Star Wars trilogy in 4k

Not a "traditional" AC but extremely fun to play imo, recommended

Not a traditional AC? Origins and forward isnt traditional. Syndicate was so traditional they didnt even bring with them the improvements Unity had added (because both games were developed in parallell). It was the last traditional AC game in the series.

Also I loved that London. Also I loved those fight clubs. Also Evie looked damn sexy when fighting in said fight clubs.

I mean, it started implementing the RPG mechanics they used in origins and featured a hookshot, which was crazy fun imo but killed every incentive to do parkour and to escape guards. I personally consider unity the last traditional AC (haven't played, seen nor heard anything on mirage yet)

Eh.. Mirage is back to the old. Very minor skill-tree. Everything dies easy. No real sidequests. Social stealth works better.

But... It feels like a copy of AC. Like someone else without access to the source code of the originals tried to re-create it in Origins' engine. Also the cutscenes kinda suck. And the city is a bit un-impressive and repetative.

Even free I'm not installing that shit.

Ubisoft should just move to Steam. Nobody wants to install another shitty installer for mediocre games.

Pirate it and get a better experience without their awful launcher

[–] Kurtzva@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Let's just say; you don't pay with money.

I enjoyed playing the game on Xbox and I am happy to claim it for PC, but I kid you not the Ubisoft Connect client hangs when I try to open the Ubisoft store. As others have said, there's really no need for them to have their own client. Just use Steam!

Very boring game

With every launch of their shitty ad-saturated, bloated piece of shit client shivving me with UAC repeatedly they make me less likely to ever again install one of their games (since Rayman Origins on steam has no DRM and I can just launch the exe directly); so take note Ubi, stop doing giveaways until the gift is not embedded in feces.
