I haven't seen a jrpg community so far. But i would be joining the community as well. Almost only play jrpg's. Let me know if someone create a community or if you find one.
Gaming
From video gaming to card games and stuff in between, if it's gaming you can probably discuss it here!

My favorite Jrpg's are Persona 5, Final Fantasy X, 7-Remake, Trails of Cold Steel series, Tales of Arise (yes like it more than berseria), Fire emblem games and Ys 8. I try to get into some smaller and older ones and for sure will play more indies in the future, because i have the feeling to play to much mainstream games.
What's your favorite Fire Emblem game? I recently started getting into some of the older ones after playing the new ones. I really enjoyed Radiant Dawn, although it was super hard compared to the ones I was used to lol.
That's kind of hard for me to say. Fire Emblem 7 and Sacred Stones are the one i played the most, because i played them in my childhood. I like the Story and art design of Echoes Shadow of Valentia a lot. I like Awakening, Engage and Radiant Dawn a lot as well. But i guess my favorite is Fates (Conquest). Because Fates has so amazing map design and very good designed strategy gameplay. (Btw. Micaiah is my most favorite char of the franchise)
I'm glad you said that, because I have access to both Birthright and Conquest, and couldn't decide which one to play. I'll pick Conquest if it's your all time favorite!
Fingers crossed that a community will emerge, hopefully it will be made with the increasing number of people trying this platform out.
Thanks for the recs! I've also played and enjoyed FFX, as well as Ys8 (still need to play Ys9 actually)! The other games you mentioned are familiar to me, but I've yet to try them. Then again, that was also the case for P5R until I gave it a shot recently, so maybe I'll see about trying some of those soon!
There are both /m/JRPGs and /m/Xenoblade_Chronicles magazines on kbin.social!
edit: oops, reddit habits die hard. those are case sensitive. fixed.
I really hope they fix the case sensitivity on kbin soon.
Quick! Someone start a Fire Emblem one! No, not me, I don't have the cognitive capacity to lead!
Have you ever played Lost Odyssey? It's a more obscure title because it was an Xbox 360 exclusive, but it's excellent. If only Microsoft had kept doing more of THAT, the Xbox would be in a heck of a better spot now.
If you have an Xbox 360, an Xbox One, or an XSS/XSX, it can be purchased for a pittance. And there's also the Xenia emulator if you'd like to play your legal backup on PC or Steam Deck, but Xenia doesn't emulate it perfectly yet.
Its one of my favorite games of all time.
Thanks for the rec! I was playing P5R on gamepass on the XSS, so will definitely look into Lost Odyssey if I can.
And there it is again.
I'm this close to getting my actual 360 out of the attic to replay.
Lost Odyssey for me, Blue Dragon for the kids...
I think I saw a couple over on Kbin as I was looking at it yesterday, I don’t know how active though.
Xenoblade is great, definitely one of my favorite series. I remember stumbling across a xenoblade community on a lemmy server that was called possum something, but I think it was empty and I haven't found it again.
I'm playing through Yakuza like a dragon right now and it's a pretty interesting twist on a JRPG. I definitely prefer the combat to the beat-em-up yakuza games.
