I'm on my billionth play through of Legends Arceus, but I may give Etrian Odyssey three a try!

I guess there is no point in asking if you liked Legends Arceus, but how do you compare it with Scarlet and Violet?
Also, why Etrian Odyssey three? Why not 1 and 2?
Haha!
So, I love Scarlet and Violet as well, for different reasons. PLA was an excellent story. It felt very complete in terms of what it was. Meanwhile, I'm basically foaming at the mouth over the DLC for S/V. One feels like watching a really good movie and the other feels like watching a really great series, if that makes sense?
As for EO3. It's purely by happenstance. My husband was playing it and I decided to pick it up. :)
Heh, good for you!
I have only played Let's Go Pikachu, and then Sword/Shield. While I enjoyed them both, it didn't make me excited to try PLA or S/V, so skipped them both. I may give the next one they release, a try, but not sure yet. Will decide when they announce it.
I can relate. I don't enjoy every Zelda game or every Final Fantasy game and will skip multiple in a row. The earlier Pokemon games also don't hold my attention very well. My interest was someone piqued by Gen 5 (good story) and I've really enjoyed gens 8 and 9.
I am very curious about what the next gen will bring. I'm eyeing that Persona 5 spin-off too, but it's a series I haven't actually played before, despite its popularity.
Yeah, there are genres and series we love, and will play every game in it, and then there are games we don't care about that much...
If you are interested in Persona, just start with Persona 5 Royal, it's same as Persona 5 but with improvements, and one more semester at the end. But all the spin-offs are different genre, so just because you like the base game doesn't mean you will like the spin-off or vice versa.
That's really good to know! The games do look interesting. I mainly go for character driven stories, but I'm not sure if any of the games really touch on that or not. I really haven't looked into them, but the updated artwork caught my attention during the latest Direct and it got me thinking about the series in general.
Well, Persona 5 is a character driven story, so you should like that part, as for the combat and rest of the gameplay, you can watch some gameplay video to get the general idea.
Persona games are really fun to play. (Mainline games, as mentioned above, spin-offs are usually completely different genre)
Still playing TTOK and Gnosia. Gnosia is a really good werewolf style game with overarching story and the KI is actually quite good.
I'm playing Jack Jeanne, just started the game but I think I'll like it as I've been looking for a visual novel with more interactive elements than story only.
Been replaying Sunshine and just started Wind Waker again. I'm really loving these older games. I wish I could appreciate them more in the past. Oh well, there's always the future!
I've been playing a ton of Diablo 4, but definitely want to find some time to hop back into Hyrule and complete some side quests in TotK. I also want to play through Kirby's Tilt 'n' Tumble on NSO; I never managed to pick it up when it was new on GBC, so I'm stoked that I finally get to play a game that has eluded me for so long!
There's also a NSO mission to play Kirby's Tilt 'n' Tumble this week. For 30 coins. I usually don't care about these coins, but they are useful int buying those avatars.
Which class are you playing in Diablo 4, and how are you liking it?
Thanks for the heads up about the coins! I typically don't care either, but if it's for a game I'm checking out anyway...I mean, why not?
I've been playing Rogue and Sorceress! Both are a lot of fun; I'm using daggers with the Rogue so she's my close-combat character and my Sorc is ice, so going ranged fighter with her.
Nice. I only played with the Necromancer during the Beta, it was really fun, obliterating all enemies. Necromancer is (was, I guess, since apparently they nerfed it) very strong against a crowd of normal enemies, but much weaker against single strong enemy, like bosses.
I started playing an indie game called In Other Waters, played for a hour and I dig the vibe so far.
Other than that I will be playing TotK. I finished all regional main quests, I might try to push the main story further.
I also finished main story + secret ending of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Finished the game at 84%. I will definitely attempt to get 100%.
Super Mario Bros U Deluxe with friend, the princess crown powerup is a very stupid edition, why didn't they make it for all characters?
TotK now and for the foreseeable future. Must get all the koroks!
I might try to finish Pikmin 3 before 1, 2 and 4 hit!
Well, 1 and 2 are already available on eShop. Unless you are waiting for physical, that isn't out yet, I think.
Yes I'm waiting for the physical release, as I already have 3 in physical, and wanted to have all 4 in my drawer, for some weird reason.
Currently loving Cassette Beasts; a great new take on the Pokémon-like with an intriguing story. Still has some performance issues but the recent patch helped a lot and it’s got me hooked in that “I’ll do just one more thing real quick” mentality.
For now, Bayonetta Next is 2 and 3
After a few months of moving about between hotels, I finally got everything all set up a my new place, so I've been enjoying some splatoon 3 again, along with legends arceus.
