It's good to be back! This might just be my having missed a setting, but my system navigation bar has a white background even with the OLED dark mode active here. Aside from that, flawless so far!
Boost For Lemmy
Community of the Android app Boost for Lemmy
Hello!! Loving what I see so far!! Question: Is there any way you can create folders to organize communities into? Thanx
Wife is getting this error when navigating to the download page from the "You are a Tester" page. It loads a Google Play page with the download button, then gives this error. Opening the Play app doesn't give her the download button. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
After joining the beta, it might take a while to show up in Play Store listing.
When I tap on a linked community, it opens in webview/browser rather than within the app
Thank you for developing this app! Being able to use Boost again has felt like being right at home. Your UI/UX design is just amazing, and I've sorely missed it since Reddit's whole thing happened.
Thanks @rmayayo@lemmy.world (testing how I can mention at users in Lemmy lol). Loved the app before, and this reincarnation is why I'm even in Lemmy right now in the first place. Already bought ad-free and also put some extra fuel in the rocket! ๐
Edit: testing mention again, since I didn't see it become a link in my comment: @rmayayo
Is there a setting to show seperate upvote/downvote counts? I'd prefer that over the "net" score which reminds me of r*ddit.
Can I sort by only gifs, pictures, or text? It was an option for the reddit version but I can't find how to do it on this new version for Lemmy.
That option was disabled for Lemmy. Maybe it returns in the future.
My experience with the app has been amazing so far. It actually works far better than the official lemmy.world website
Works great. It really feels like I'm using Boost for Reddit. Thank you mate, ad-free version purchased :)
I don't know if it has been posted. After try many lemmy client its end to sync and boost.
But compared both apps there is one difference that I feel, scrolling performance is better on sync. On boost feel little bit lag/stutter.
Else just customization like other comments mentioned.
I hope it will be fixed in next build.
Thanks for build great apps. ๐
would.
can't login to my instanse. nor another.
am not making a new login.

Does your password have more than 60 chars? If that's the case, type only the first 60 chars. This should be fixed for the next version.
If not, let me know the error message.
The welcome message is Welcome !username
. I think it should be Welcome username!
Not sure if it's Boost or YouTube Revanced at fault but got the following error when I tried to open a Lemmy link to a video: https://postimg.cc/q6sW77x0
Also, the sign-up journey is a bit confused. Clicking sign up takes me to joinlemmy, which then just lands me on a home page for whichever instance I click. Might be more user friendly to prompt for a choice of instance and take them directly to that instance's sign up page. And maybe have a button for "not sure? Explore here" or something similar that would take you to joinlemmy
Being taken to the instance that just selected makes pretty firm logical sense to me, personally. Is the sign up process/path uniform across all instances?
The few I checked were, but not sure if the path is defined as part of the Lemmy protocol.
Is there an option for the comments where I can just long-press to select and copy text instead of needing to go into a copy menu and then using the select text option? That can be bit tedious, and I typically copy most longer comments and send them to my voice-aloud app for TTS. It's definitely the main feature I miss about the old RIF app - easy text selection and perfect Bluetooth keyboard/mouse support.
A minor ui glitch(?)
When scrolling through posts I noticed that occasionally the post summary would slightly scroll up cropping the first line in the summary.
After playing with it for a few minutes, I can reproduce the behavior by pressing on the summary, holding the press and dragging left or right, continuing to hold the press and dragging up or down.
It seems I tend to scroll with a slight diagonal motion instead of a pure up and down motion.
Screen shots showing the glitch: The post in godot@programming.dev, the "hey guys..." line gets scrolled off screen with the "diagonal scroll motion"
Normal post look
Glitched look
I'm excited to switch over and will definitely report any wonkiness.
This has been a very good idea!
