I can relate! Actually had a really good holiday even with being sick. I was the last to get an illness as well, and just powered through the festivities. Resting up now and recovering

We were all ill as well. Ended up cancelling all of our family holiday plans. It was a small, quiet Christmas—I was worried that it wouldn’t feel special to my eldest (3.5y), but he seems to have had a great time despite it all. Our youngest is also teething right now so we are just completely wiped.
Good and you?
Had the somewhat traditional Xmas at home as it seems now, at home with the kids on Xmas day, over to the in-laws for Boxing Day to have too many people in one place, a crocker-pot of germs and drinking to make sure resistance is low, the smallest members of the family cross crossing partisan lines to make sure there’s a (un)fair chance of distribution. So by the 27th, we’ve all been on deaths door, and the level of ick hasn’t abated yet, so another year that new year’s eve/day plans are a washout - chicken soup anyone? This is the most ill I have been since the big COVID xmas of ‘20, where we all did the same thing but on xmas day and were ill until February. This was the year that we’d dodged it for a whole year and then fell 3 months before vaccinations were available. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am we did it then, and that we’ve done it again now.
They were good! Managed to split the time between my mother in law and my dad well on Christmas Day, no drama, everyone liked their presents!
The kids have generally been well behaved, can't complain at all really!
