We do operate that account, but we really only use it to highlight the "main event" posts, rather than every single post.
You're not following a bot, you're literally following this community. That's why you see everything. Lemmy and Mastodon are connected.
You can follow individual communities as if they were people on Mastodon. Underneath the hood, communities are essentially bots that boost people’s posts to aggregate them into a single feed.
