Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Eh, he's lightly alluded to that before. But then his cult start freaking out or his ego takes a ding. And then it's back to the vociferous "stolen election" bullshit.

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 24 points 2 months ago

He actually said the words "we lost" though. Not sure I've heard that before.

[–] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 18 points 2 months ago

He has a captive base of drooling idiots who believe him and send him money . Why wouldn't he go back to it?

[–] TommySoda@lemmy.world 82 points 2 months ago

He said the same thing in the courts. You know, where you can't blatantly lie.

[–] stevedidwhat_infosec@infosec.pub 43 points 2 months ago

Trump says anything and everything he has 0 spine or back bone

[–] Beaver@lemmy.ca 39 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Time for him to admit he lost the 2024 election too

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He might after he overthrows the election with the help of the Extreme Court, then what are you going to do about it?

Return to the Motherland (Europe)

(TECHNICALLY this is voluntary decolonization and therefore based)

Said on the other thread:

No. He always knew it. That was part of the Jan 6 commission findings. That he appears to be altering his past statements to solicit support from a particular audience is not that notable, there are lots of examples.

Vice President Harris needs to ask him this question in the debate, but more importantly if he says yes, ask him when he realized he lost.

I'm a Free Thinking Republican and this is ONLY happening because the Deep State is trying to Kill Trump as demonstrated by sending a Child Assassin to MISS on Purpose to send a message to Trump because they're scared of Him. That's LITERALLY the ONLY reason why he's saying this! I think for Myself!

No he didn't. We don't need punctuation for sarcasm. If it doesn't work then the author sucks.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 months ago

Or, perhaps, the reader is nodding along the whole way and completely misses the point — because they're already a fucking moron? Don't feed trolls, even by accidental crumbs. 🙇🏽‍♂️

In a podcast interview with Russian American computer scientist Lex Fridman that aired Tuesday, Trump acknowledged that he lost the presidential election “by a whisker.” (You can check out Trump’s comments around the 11:10 mark.) The surprising remarks follow a similar comment by Trump at a Moms for Liberty conference last week, saying Biden “beat us by a whisker”—before baselessly claiming that Democrats “used Covid to cheat.” At a press conference at the southern border last month, Trump said that he came up “just a little bit short” in the last election.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Ah yes, we cheated using the disease your side adamantly opposed to protecting yourselves from

[–] Minarble@aussie.zone 11 points 2 months ago

Trump is a loser.

Confirmed, fact checked and validated.

[–] driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br 11 points 2 months ago

He just repeat the last thing someone says to him, so it's just a matter of time until he came back saying that the election was stolen.

[–] abff08f4813c@j4vcdedmiokf56h3ho4t62mlku.srv.us 8 points 2 months ago (2 children)

The article quotes him as saying

“beat us by a whisker”

and then

“used Covid to cheat.”

So I suspect in his mind, he still only "lost" because of the millions of illegal immigrants voting or some similar BS. I.e. the media is being too optimistic about this guy's POV and mental state.

[–] blockheadjt@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

That's what he would say, but he knows it's not true. It's for the suckers to believe.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

"They propped themselves up with a platform! How is that fair!?"
