The only real primary threat (DeSantis) says he supports him. I think they are just being coy.

I basically agree but as the article notes, DeSantis was much more aggressive on the last indictment.
Like someone else said, I think they're trying to have it both ways.
I think they will ultimately regret it when the general election comes around. Hopefully.
I hope so. Although, I was younger and had more more faith in the American electorate, I thought trump winning the primaries for 2016 was the best thing possible as he'd destroy the republican party. I've regretted my gleeful laughs ever since...
I suspect they are trying to have it both ways so to speak. Call out Biden and how it's a "witch hunt", and quietly increase support without criticising Trump directly. Because if they do attack Trump, they know his supporters in the primaries will turn on them.
Yeah, I think you've got it pretty much right. "We support him but not so much that Republican primary voters can turn on us if they turn out to dislike this particular set of crimes. But we won't criticize him per se..."
They are reacting much more than the Dems. I agree with Olbermann who wonders what the hell the Dems think they'll lose by kicking the idiot when he's down.
I'd be surprised if we ever see them denounce Trump in any consistent way. Otherwise, they'd be admitting that thier party frontlined a truely horrible person for years.
