One of the things that puts me off backing Kickstarters is the packaging costs - being in the UK can often almost double it for American projects.
yeah often the shipping it taking the piss, £10 to ship a book is pretty high imo
Yeah, I'm not a superfan so would possibly pick up a mass market release and the fans can go all in on the goodies - with the stretch goals it should be a nice object and if you can then get it signed at a fan event...
Why does it have to be on a Kickstarter? Publishers should be jumping at the chance to publish it.
It seems the Terry Pratchett Estate wanted to do everything themselves, which I understand. What I don't like is when big companies use Kickstarter.
I do hope that they allow a softcover edition to be produced that is more widely available for everyone else.
