I've sent in my appeal and i'm sure the removal will be quickly reversed, it's still very extremely disturbing such a thing could happen.

Yo what the actual fuck??? I've sent an email to escalate this to the admins, because this is fucking ridiculous.

appeal denied

OK that one's too fucking good. Mastodon instantly sent an automated corporate email and google's response AI's first option is "I am no longer interested" followed with a passive-aggressive "thank you for your response" capping off with a "(I can't afford to lose this client) Yes, I am still interested" and I'm just laughing my fucking ass off.

Official response

It looks like the wrong reason got attached to the report. It is likely the moderator intended to mark the post as false or misleading, as zionism is not "literally supported by the nazis". Usually criticism of Israel or their actions in Gaza does not run afoul of our rules, but moderators generally intercede when running up against common antisemitic tropes like Holocaust inversion or relativism. (Your linked post, referring to "zionazis" would also qualify as such.) Our server is subject to the laws of Germany, which have fairly strong positions on the matter.

Anyone have any good instances not based in Germany that I can move to? EDIT: While i'm at it I need a good matrix instance too.

Check out the GZD matrix instance it's cozy and nice: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/1294067

and the mastodon/akkoma/pleroma instance also run by our fellow comrades: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/3850925

I've looked at them, they seem good but i'm looking for a more generalized experience. I might pop by and give a visit once I set up though.

What do you mean by 'generalized experience'? There's federation and you can subscribe to whatever

Basically I'm looking for an lemmy ml, an instance with general reach but admins who moderate when they need to and don't passively side with actual fascists. Mastodonsocial comes close but their instance being under German law means they have to, by law, take pro-fascist stances from time to time. (Germany never underwent denazification and (I think) by law conflates antizionism and antisemitism)

Please don't take this the wrong way but i've had bad experiences explicitly communist spaces. I think they're cool places to visit but nobody would be happy if I full on moved in. It would be better for everyone if I kept a healthy distance and only interacted when warrented. Case in point, the reason i'm posting this here and not on the lemmygrad comm is because they banned me for over 2000 years four times in a row.
