I've started climate change proofing my home by planting shady trees on the South facing side, problem is they're all still a few centimeters tall! ๐Ÿ˜ญ Just need things to stay cool for a a few more years...

There's lots you can do, I'm also planning on growing something leafy up that side of the house, upping some insulation, getting external shutters to keep the sun out... But it all takes time and money.

Worst thing you can do is install aircon but I fear that's the direction this crazy country will go in...

I'm in a new build flat, so my options are limited, but ive been looking into putting some shady trees or tall shrubs in the balcony.

We had a sun sail hung up outside the windows last year during the 40c hear wave. Deffo made a difference, but look a bit ridiculous from outside haha.

We got a portable air con for when it was too unbearable, but shouldn't need it in the first place!

Yeah, that's the problem. We really should be housebuilding like it's the South of France and the North Pole. Sun sail sounds like a good idea, but amazing how much difference some greenery makes too.
