They have to put Apple A17 on it, since its only chip with hardware decoding av1.

Yeah don't see them putting such a new processor next year. Maybe in 2025. That would be the only reason worth upgrading if you got the new apple tv 4ks from the last few years.

A lot of us are still using 2015 era AppleTV's, if your TV isn't 4k, not much season to upgrade. 1st generation 4k's are hitting 5 years old now.

I know some folks on the AV forums seem to upgrade TV's every 2 years but most people are on more like a 10 years or until it dies cycle.
