Hello liberals - we have new mods! @CoffeeAddict and I (@theinspectorst) have taken over as mods of this magazine after the unfortunate disappearance of our previous mod - we tried quite hard to locate the previous mod but they hadn't been active in over a month and we had no way to reach them.

We're going to get to work on sorting out this magazine - e.g. filling out the placeholders in the sidebar. We thought we'd post a regular pinned monthly discussion thread for the time being but if the mag keeps growing then we can move it more frequent.

In the meantime - discuss away!

@Neoliberal I was looking into https://kbin.social/m/kbinMeta/t/135413/YSK-that-Kbin-can-subscribe-not-only-to-magazines-and today and I was wondering if anyone here has been able to try https://kbin.social/d/mastodo.neoliber.al to see if it will pull in the Neoliberal Masto instance's kbin interaction feed? I'm thinking as I'm not a kbin.social user its not kicking off a subscribe step and never storing the domain in its domain list even though several users here have posted to there. https://kbin.social/d/mastodon.social gives what I would expect, but for our server.

I get a 404 error for https://kbin.social/d/mastodo.neoliber.al, but https://kbin.social/d/mastodon.social seems to work.

The way it appears from this end is that mastodon.social domain is showing threads where a kbin user has posted a link to a Mastodon post, which are all the ones that are showing up, whereas perhaps no-one on kbin has posted a mastodo.neoliber.al link. So it's not really subscribing to the instance in the same way you can subscribe to a Threadiverse instance, it's acting more like a filter for Mastodon posts that were then posted as links on kbin.

@theinspectorst @CoffeeAddict that makes sense and probably is why lemmy.world is showing only memes and crossposts. Thanks for checking!
