Unpopular opinion, but the GCN controller is so comfy, the bumpers fit so well in my fingers

Beat me to it. Modern controllers are fine, but the art of controller design peaked with the GameCube.

Everyone in this thread gets an upvote. It wasn't until a few years ago when I soft modded my Wii to start playing GameCube games that I held the controller again. Damn! That is such a comfortable controller. It's still my favourite of all of them.
