Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.
Off-topic Discussion — Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post as opposed to arguing.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically only last 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction will double the amount. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.

I got banned on a lemmy.ml sub for pointing out a post was misleading, that's it.
People here complain about reddit mods being power tripping, but my experience on Lemmy has been equal if not worse. Ml and hexbear being obvious examples, but I've even gotten 7 or 30 days bans, with no warning, for stupid shit that I've seen plenty of other people do, in a news sub and aboringdystopia, obviously because the mod disagreed with my opinion, they were just using some minor violation of the rules to justify banning me.
Mods have removed my comments for dumbest shit.

I've never bought any Apple product, you triggered ball of catpuke. I'm just pissed at Android manufacturers copying Apple without offering any pros of iPhone. 5 year old iPhone still updates to latest iOS. Good luck trying to do that with 5 year old Android. Keep raging at the mere mention of Apple though. Sounds like a wonderful existence.

You can’t tell the difference in alluding to someone being gullible and calling someone a triggered cat puke? One is a comment on your behavior (swallowing marketing) and the other is a direct insult. One might be a personal attack, the other one definitely is. Just be kind.
I've never even once bought any Apple product ever. I've been using Android since last 12 years. So yeah, when I have a legitimate complaint about the direction Android is going in and this is the response I get to it:
