UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(

I don't fucking understand this country sometimes.
Thankfully we'll have a Labour government in a few days and this will be dropped instead of being continued through. Right......?
The British state is controlled by Zionists. That includes the Labour party. That's the thing to understand.
That’s a new spin on “jEwS sEcReTlY rUlE eVeRyThInG”. There is, and has been, a Jewish population in British society throughout history - but this statement is unfounded at best, unhelpful anti-Semitic conspiracy at worst.
Please elaborate how Zionists “control the British state”
Every single Tory MP and most Labour MPs are members of the "Friends of Israel" lobby groups.
Lobbying groups. One of which advocates for a Palestinian state alongside Israel, which is essentially opposed to Likud policy.
Again, that hardly meets the “controls British politics” argument. An unwarranted and potentially scandalous level of quid-pro-quo/ influence sure - but the Russian money and rot is more important to root out of British politics imo
