I saw make this assessment of picard and sisko as both characters and as captains. That if you want to prevent a war you send picard but if you want to win one you send sisko.

The SXSW premiere was today, and it looks like the review embargo has been lifted, so reviews can be shared here.

What's your opinion about this game? I was thinking a Telltale Game Style with Star Trek, but it is good or is boring? Obviously I'm talking about story, I don't expect nothing about gameplay.

(Edit: "I don't expect nothing about gameplay" NOT in the bad way, I mean more of I can figure it out how the gameplay are on this kind of games since I played other ones telltale works before and this game has people from that former studio, but I wanted to know if worth it storywise, also, apologize for my bad english).

I'm going with William Windom:

Staving off reality:

Doing a villain turn by seizing control:

Matt's heroic sacrifice:

Finally, one of the most nail-biting scenes ever:

Personal notes: across all TV and media, I've rarely seen a character go from totally sympathetic, to total heel-turn villain, to total martyr like that.

In terms of ST series, maybe Dukat from DS..?

Runner-ups?

  • Mark Lenard as the Romulan commander

  • Robert Walker as "Charlie X"

  • Roger C. Carmel as "Harry Mudd"

Daggit, I know I'm forgetting some actors, here...

Yo @startrek, tell me something?

Do #trashy #tabloids exist in the #StarTrek universe? Does *any* #journalism whatsoever exist in the Star Trek universe?

Because, if not, then it means there are no Tucker Carlsons and no Jon Stewarts, and no John Olivers in that universe. Probably because nothing needs internal investigations in that society as a whole!

And that frankly blows my mind... 🤯

It took over a year of getting all the parts together and is back lit my nanoleaf panels (hence the lines and gaps at the edge). A worthy trade off for the fun effects!

From Trekmovie:

David Ajala: A moment I wanted to share is something that happens in season 5. I remember speaking to Alex Kurtzman about this at the end of shooting season 4 and it was an idea that he shared with me and I think Michelle Paradise was the only other person that knew about this thing at the time. Then cut to season 5… we get to come back to Toronto and create something so very special. [Sonequa interjects “We did”] I’m so proud and happy that we got to do that because you know how amazing that was to do. And I can’t wait for you guys to experience the very secretive thing which I can’t talk about which we got to do.

I love falling asleep to DS9, and I've collected a few episodes that put me right out.

These ones are great

Progress s01e14

Prophet motive s03e16

__ these ones are still sleepy but have some problems __

The nagus : some ferengi table pounding, an explosion (not too loud though)

Vortex : one very short phaser fight, some odo grunting, and a ship explosion

The house of quark : one fight, early in the episode

The visitor s04e03: one alarm sequence early in the episode, but so sleepy it made the list

A simple investigation s05e17: a single phaser shot, an a short brawl

Anyone have any other episodes with no explosions/phasers/alarms/births?

I'd like to add some voyager episodes but I feel like most have been pretty intense in my latest rewatch.
