I like souls-likes, but the talk of taxes in the story makes me scared that it's libertarian cringe.

Also how does it run on Switch?

According to WhyEssEff it actually satirizes libertarians a la Bioshock. I haven't played it but I trust her so idk, play it!

It's really great. My personal favorite game of 2024 thus far, narrowly beating out Balatro kril-bashful

The politics of the game are all-but-explicitly socialist. I don't want to spoil anything or even any of the little bits because I was genuinely caught off-guard in a good way and don't want to deny that to others so you're just going to have to trust me here?

Switch performance is jank–no two ways about it. It's definitely unoptimized. They seem to have fixed the game-breaking/softlocking glitches on it (as I am currently making a friend couch-play it for my entertainment), but you are going to notice lag, I'm not going to sugarcoat it.
