The fedivrse is not as connected as I once thought.

Mastodon and lemmy only sort of talk to each other. This is a test post of sorts @chat Also I cloned myself.

Lemmy doesn't have any kind of interoperability with Mastodon (outside of the specific use case you mention), but kbin has interoperability with both Lemmy and Mastodon content, for what it's worth.

I believe kbin is dead, mbin is the active fork.
