Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

Advertisers must be thrilled!

I thought this was only while twitter blocked people without accounts from accessing it? Is this still happening? I see the tweet is from earlier this month.

I believe Twitter changed the policy back to allow people without accounts to see tweets. I don’t have an account and links were working for the last few weeks.

That’s what I mean. I was under the impression that google wasn’t able to scrape twitter because they (twitter) were blocking access. I just assumed that the tweet in the OP was no longer true due to twitter allowing it again

You can see tweets with a direct link. But you can browse something feed i think

I haven’t been able to see anything on Twitter for weeks. It always asks me to log in.

I’ve seen a few links to Twitter and they’ve loaded for me. I haven’t used Twitter in a while and deleted my account a few months ago so it’s definitely not logged in.

I mean yeah. If a link is broken then it'll be removed since they don't like having results give 404. If you block their crawler, it'll delist you. It's not rocket science.

Wow, could this thing turns more painful?
