I forget if the Prydwen survives in any non-BOS ending, but if not, does this mean the show assumes the BOS storyline is canon?
It's in LA so that Pridwen is not the one from the eastern brotherhood
Thanks! I assumed Prydwen was the only BOS airship of that scale/shape. It seemed to me that an airship like the Prydwen would be too expensive to build and/or operate multiple of, so I assumed the Prydwen was unique.

Interestingly, the Prydwen was named after King Arthurs ship, and Caswennan is the name of the Sandbank in Wales upon which said ship allegedly sunk.

This is going to be a tough one to rate on the "Woke-o-meter". Fallout has always had extremely diverse characters, let's hope they don't shoehorn in modern sociopolitical topics. If they can refrain from pulling a Disney I think this will be a hit.
Art like TV and film always reflect the time period it was made in. Do with that what you will.

I'd argue it's too dirty looking in the games. There's no reason settlements have to be completely covered in garbage or people have to be filthy all the time.
It can be both. The scenery of the games is absolutely too dirty and trash filled. However, the people themselves probably wouldn't be this clean looking.
yeah as much as I love the games, some of their design choices are baffling - why is there a skeleton in the toilets of an inhabited building? Why does a post-holocaust society mean people have suddenly stopped giving a shit about cleaning up?
As I understand the logic, many things are so radioactive that you can't move them. Most water is contaminated so you can't use precious clean water for bathing, so most people and scenes would be dirt-caked from just dry washing.
Also continuing my riff – look at the VFX set pieces. They're all golden sunshine back lit with glorious sunsets. Roger Deakins gets into this gripe a lot on his podcast and I agree with the sentiment: the VFX tries to add too much beauty to images because they can. They shouldn't though, they assist the looks in ways what support the nature of the story.
These shots are too lit ie using obvious big soft source lights to make everything nice and controlled-looking, augmented by beauty-centric VFX tendencies, and the makeup and vanities teams aren't muddling up enough of the image.
Finishing / color grading may yet be done to unify the looks and add some grit with more grain, halation and blurring, but the vast majority of those elements should be done on set and in-camera. They have the resources for it.
This has always been my biggest issue with Amazon shows. I don't know why they feel the need to make everything look like it was filmed on a sports camera.
It LOOKS good, hopefully the writing is actually good.
Yeah the Lord of the rings : the rings of power looked good from the snippets they showed and look how that turned out. It doesn't have to look good it just has to have good writing. I hope it's both though in all honesty

Hey that doesn't look bad at all! Then again Rings of Power also looks amazing but wasn't exactly a 10/10 show. Hopefully this delivers, I'm excited!
That penultimate image with all the people with Power Armors kind of looks like that scene from James Gunn's The Suicide Squad (to me atleast).

It’s really cool someone is doing fallout…. But…. Just based on a few pictures the costumes and props really just don’t feel convincing to me, and honstly with a fallout set that should be easy and cheap. Everything metal looks like spray painted plastic, all their outfits are super clean and look new. There’s no poverty to be seen here, and in fallout I feel like even Tenpennys suit has got holes in it and dust and it looks like it’s spent 200 years folded on a shelf.
