I am looking for some plants ideally edible or other uses, that can grow indoors.

I tried tobacco, pythaya (dragon fruit), aloe. But it doesn't grow well or I have to wait very long time to have something from it.

So what is your go to indoor "useful" houseplant?

Hm, maybe an avocado tree? Takes forever, but once they start producing fruit they can be really handy. Your best bet would be to find one that is already well established if you want to see results soon.

This isn't practical at all, but I'm growing some monstera deliciosa in the hopes that one day it will produce fruit. I really want to find out what it tastes like, they're supposed to be amazing.
