This is awesome! I loved that he pointed out the irony in car drivers complaining that closing the street would increase the amount of pollution because you know, they're soooo concerned about pollution.

 

... successive governments treat [trains] like and inconvenient elderly relative who wont do the decent thing and die, preferring, despite all of the obvious environmental advantages of trains over cars, to prostrate themselves before the road lobby and provide drivers with even vaster expanses of tarmac at the tax payers expense, to give the illusion of unsupported independence, as if their Mondeo could get them 20ft across a ploughed field.
