@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games It's surprising how downgraded it looks compared to the A500 version. It's not just simplified color palette, but completely redrawn graphics.

@retrotechtive@retrochat.online We're taking part in a retro game day the local library does biannually, and in addition to a pinball machine and a late 90s PC, I'm thinking about bringing an Atari ST and frustrate the kids with this game. It took me forever to figure out the game as a kid and I tried drawing a map for it, but damn if it doesn't have seemingly endless amount of rooms!
@retrotechtive@retrochat.online I played this a lot on Atari ST, it has a rather harrowing sound track towards the end. It's also damn difficult, especially when the ST version appears to randomise the locations of the object you need to collect.
@root42@chaos.social Whoa, this makes turning old things to USB PD powered dead easy!
@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games I still have less good memories of being super stoked about some cool game coming to something I own and then the immense disappointment when the port was really lame compared to the original running on better hardware. Or the "port" sharing nothing but the name, like some of late PS2 games "ported" from PS3.
I wonder what's the story behind SNES' Pinball Fantasies? The hardware obviously wasn't the issue. Lack of access to the source material?
