The big con. Blizzard frightens current players that the next expansion will be super expensive. Blizzard release a £60 expansion price. All players breathe a sigh of relief and hand over cash.

No true, you never made pompous, demeaning better than thou comments at all. Meanwhile all your original statements have been edited/deleted. Truly sad attempt to push a Tory narrative.

Your link says nothing about improving outcomes of existing secondary school children just that they attend school more. The two are not directly linked, the worst children often have the highest attendance and are often the first ones there and the last to leave as their home life is so bad.

What gibberish is this? Can you back this up with any evidence? Kids attending school is a benefit. To state anything other than that is beyond crass. I left school without any qualifications at all. I got my qualifications after leaving home. I actively avoided scrutiny at school because it is embarrassing to be forced into confronting the situation I was living in. Again you have absolutely no idea.

You declared these people poor when you stated

Other parents manage it in the same area, same backgrounds.

Equating prison with expelling kids to behavioural schools is just pathetic as well.

I did not. I stated that some find it acceptable to avoid the issue by locking people up. There is a prevalent attitude to penalise being poor and needy. Where as robbing the country of millions is acceptable and something we should support. Imagine how people would be helped by the money Michelle Mone grabbed from the tax payer.

Other parents manage it in the same area

What a pathetic privileged attitude to have. Some people have no issues in life at all. Being born to the right parents should not be a metric for the benefits you receive in society. You really have no idea the problems some have to face.

I grew up in a deprived area. Both my parents were alcoholics. I grew up learning how to survive the hard way. But I got a lucky break early on. I have paid my way since I was 20 and retired on my own cash at 55. My kids have absolutely no idea what that sort of life entails. This idea that you can put people down because they lost out on the genetic lottery is incredibly insulting.

It is easy to throw a dishonest person into prison and ignore the issue. What a lot do not realise is that honesty comes with security. A lot of people cannot afford to be honest, because they are struggling just to live. To break this cycle, it takes commitment from government to educate and facilitate that move away from this. Something sadly lacking from today's government, and the people who support them.

As for your comments regrading UBI. I see you provide nothing to back that claim up. Let me help you.

Investing in society makes everyone richer. There are a huge amount of studies that prove this. Accepting that some people are just not worth the effort is a very small minded selfish attitude to have. Instead of believing the crap that the Tory media promote do some research.

While this is all true, and I agree that it is a big part of it, the lack of actual consequences for the worst behaved kids at schools is why schools are struggling. You used to be able to properly expel children instead you now exclude, and unless its exceptional circumstances you have to take them back if no other school will take them.

We had poor houses not long before this also. People are expected to hold 2 jobs just to live these days. You cannot work long hours and look after kids at the same time. It is this sort of selfish attitude that has empowered the Tories to push the standards as far as we see now. We don't need a race to the bottom.

Yep, make a copy then hand them back. It is just a piece of stone. A replica would be just as good and probably more durable.

They are making the OS more and more convoluted for loading your own books.

Neowin generally announce those that are being freed that week. They do not keep a running list though.

The massive inconsistencies in government were the most obvious failures of the last 14 years. The BoE has two mechanisms to play with - interest rates and Quantitative easing. These are mechanisms that take months to gauge the outcome from. It is impossible to apply long term solutions with such a catastrophic approach to governing.

Car manufacturers do not know what is happening in 4 weeks time when the new rules are being applied. Rules that are being negotiated at a pace now. Everything is kneejerk with this crew. There is no consideration for anything outside of the party in fights.

Sorry? I don't think I made any claims over area.

If you ever needed proof that the FPTP system is abused then this is it.

This left me in awe of the intelligence behind the victim. Sophie is without a doubt an expert in her own field. Experts should be talking to her and giving her the platform that will benefit others.

I try hard to understand the personal issues of people with gender identification. I hope you can appreciate this is difficult for someone who was raised in the 60/70's and doesn't have the same identification issues. It wasn't until I found out my offspring was gay that I understood just how damaging being homophobic was. I was not a vindictive homophobe, but then you don't have to be physical to cause harm.

I think there is a lot of credence to her opinion of putting people into boxes. This causes so many mental issues with growing kids, and has done for a very long time. We really need to find a way to help kids be happy with who they are and not pander to the whims of the crowd.

Just for reference as this incites comments. I have never mistreated my kids. My initial reaction to finding out that I was the parent of someone gay was only ever about seeking to help in anyway I can. I could never fathom any parent that wants to hurt a son/daughter for not being what they want them to be.

Some good information imo.

This is Sunak admitting that he knows about 1,100 schools that are affected (22,000 with ONLY 95% affected = 1,100 affected). With 50 new schools a year being rebuild/refurbed, this would equate to a 22 year plan to fix only the currently identifiably ones.

We have the Education Secretary Gillian Keegan, who seems to think she should be congratulated for this and not criticised.

The PMs official spokesman has said:

no definitive number could be given on the number of schools affected by potentially dangerous RAAC concrete, but confirmed hundreds could be impacted.

He does not say what numbers they have currently. Labour have been requesting this information for a year now under the Freedom of Information channels. All with no success, because Sunak wants the information hidden.

It is only 1,100 schools. If we had a conservative 500 pupils in each school, then we have had over half a million (550,000) kids running a lottery everyday they have gone to school this year. The consequences of loosing that lottery could easily be death or life changing injuries. We are not talking about bits of plaster falling here. This is the structural support of a lot of buildings.

An incredible front page from the Mail.

But a Tory source described the advert as ‘pathetic’, pointing out that classrooms were being shut as a precaution in order to ensure that schools are safe for pupils to return this week.

They were informed that the buildings were very unsafe in January, and yet they have sent kids into the buildings all this year. The only reason they have owned up to them being unsafe is because a roof collapsed over the summer. This could so easily have been a major tragedy. There was a report published about this in 2019. Labour have been using FOI requests on the status of the repairs all year. IMO if a kid is injured or killed by this, there should be criminal charges.

A Conservative Party spokesman said: ‘Labour were warned about this when they were last in office and did nothing; they ignored the issue in opposition; and now it’s in the news they have decided they are interested.

No source cited OFC. Using Labour as an excuse for something you have ignored for 13 years is pretty pathetic. It shows they have no real justification for this at all.

The government are refusing to give a list of the schools involved. Labour have motioned a bill to get that list from them.

‘In the meantime, in Labour-run Wales they are recklessly sending students back to school without checking they are safe, leaving parents in the dark.’ Yesterday’s attack revived a notorious campaign run by Labour earlier this year.

Again no one except the government know which buildings are affected. You cannot react on information you do not have.

I would be amazed if this actually came to fruition. It would paralyze the country yet again while they play party politics. That would be four PMs all from one election result. Four sets of resignation honours lists. yet another round of all change in ministerial positions. What would a new face actually achieve with so little time left in parliament time.

If this looked likely, I could see Sunak doing what Johnson threatened. That would be to call an early election. I firmly believe Sunak is in this for the money with the business interests of his family. If a VONC looked imminent then he has no interests in politics anymore. He knows he will not be the next PM. He will want a get out of jail free option, IMO.

According to polls, a GE would be a wipe out with the Tory party. If Labour step aside for the LD, there is even a possibility that Sunak would loose this own seat. He may not even have to go through the indignant process of resigning while in office.

I can easily see how there could be enough Tory MPs to trigger this. So many who have nothing to loose anymore. Many are stepping down as candidates, and many more who know they will be out of a job. I sincerely hope that if they do pull the trigger then Sunak sees the option of going to the ballot boxes. I can do without the last year of parliament being stagnated by yet more Tory in fighting.
