Bethesda says most of Starfield's 1000+ planets are dull on purpose because 'when the astronauts went to the moon, there was nothing there' but 'they certainly weren't bored' in c/gaming@lemmy.ml

Not arguing with the crux of your argument here, but most fast traveling I've done is way more direct than that. New planet, sure there's a few stages, but anywhere you've been before you can pretty much fast travel to directly from anywhere.

Can confirm Hoplite is absolutely fantastic, been a near constant install since 2015, great way to kill 10 minutes.
