I never considered Blue Dragon as a spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger. Blue Dragon is just a complete different game, with some of the same developers.

It is a great game imo, but it's also insanely long and pretty grind heavy. I made it through two of the three disc before I sadly lost my save file in a break in.

I later tried again but only made it to disc 2 before just not being able to stomach the grind :/

I agree that this game doesn’t get as much love as Lost Odyssey. But that is rightfully so. LO is an amazing game.

And Nobuo Uematsu did the music. This game popped in my head the other day and was hoping it was on steam. I guess you have to emulate it to play it.

It's bonkers these games are almost 20 years old already.

I hope they bring this to modern consoles, I never had any Xbox consoles but would like to play it

My buddy had this game, shit had like 8 discs

It was 3. But IIRC, it was the first 360 game to have multiple discs.

Yeah you're right; looking it up it was 3. My kid brain at the time must have seen that and the tale of the multiple disks grew.
