IMHO they should have let them swap, 5 second is meh - fair what could be seen from a racing incident (max not really predicting the grip right) to max being dumb and mean and just sending it

Ok. This race is surprising me. The conditions have seriously upset the field and is making it really interesting so far.

I think the five seconds is a fair penalty in general. It's just that Max' performance is so abnormally dominant that for him it doesn't matter.
Edit: and in lap 14 it seems like it would have been less of a penalty to let Leclerc regain position since if they pit now, he could end up 4th.
