Time to give up on living.

Thou shalt always carry thy iPhone protected by a case

You obviously missed that bible verse. 🤣

[–] VisableObject01@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Good thing they’re a lot cheaper to fix the back glass

[–] TpTheDon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Shoulda had a case

[–] RuneRavenXZ@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

What do you mean, “now what?” Do you have Apple care? If so, replace it. If not, you’re insane for having no case and no insurance.

How heartbreaking. Use a nice case next time.

[–] Praydaythemice@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is why I never raw dog it that gorilla glass is pretty tough but I’d rather avoid the repair fee as I don’t spring for AppleCare

Get it back to Apple and get it repaired. You've got warranty.

[–] iJCLEE@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Warranty is gone after accident happened like broken glass and in some cases even big scratches or frame color loss can void wareanty. It depends how big scratches and how the frame color lost. Which mostly caused by dropping.

Depending on which credit card you used check to see if if your credit card has accidental damage coverage within the first 30 days. this happened to me with an Apple Watch a few years ago and I didn’t even know that this was a thing. Luckily the card I used had it and they reimburse me 300 bucks for a screen replacement.

Time to get a skin for it

[–] kisahero@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Since you've bought it so recently.

Go to your Settings > General > About > Add AppleCare+ Coverage. Pay however you want to and go to a local Apple Store to get the back glass repaired.

For the future keep your AppleCare+, get a case, or do both. Phones at this price point are an investment and you should protect your investments.

[–] rebelliouslegacy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That’s why you buy a protective case and screen protector, no one is to blame but yourself. These phones are too damn expensive to be carrying around as is, if you had a case on it, you wouldn’t have this problem. Learn to take care of your stuff and better protect it.

Use a case bro It aint that bad

If your gonna go careless you must have AppleCare , that’s what I do I love my phone no case, I’m on my second iPhone 14 Pro Max after 14 months

[–] chris_gilluly@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Get AppleCare+ for it.

[–] AnaBlack90@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Now nothing )) before you should have wore a case

[–] Able_Psychology3665@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Buy apple care on your phone and get it repaired using apple care. If you do it within 60 days they don’t require you verification of the actual phone.

I’d advise you to keep a case on your phone in the future. If you can’t afford to buy a new phone outright with no inconvenience, then keep it in a case. It’s the same as insurance.

Put a case on

[–] Sweeeeetener@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Buy apple care, wait a bit and then get it replaced

[–] LostinStocks@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ok, thanks for sharing

[–] arjentic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well done sir.

[–] Key_Truth2756@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

A. Let it be. B. Get it fixed and buy a case.

I have a case and no problems with drops.

[–] TheCoach0001@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Just go to apple store…tell then you wanna get apple care for it…even if you passed the deadline they can do some tricks and help you enroll in….then you can get a new one with the apple care

Activate apple care and get a repair

[–] Bhatoora_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I checked my iphone 15 plus right after seeing this post.

Phew! It’s all good there.

There should be a flair called “Cracked Porn” for these post haha.

[–] McBourbons@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

As others said, activate apple care, get it fixed. Consider a case.

[–] Wrong-Log73@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Just get a speck candy shell. The case looks dope, it’s hella slim and no one will have to know your phones cracked. It’s a win all around

[–] cawando@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If you know you’re going caseless the least you could do is buy Apple Care, this type of damage isn’t purely aesthetic, it could’ve caused internal damage and I wouldn’t trust its water resistance now.

[–] _thecleveridio@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It doesn’t have Tit-an-ium

[–] No_Middle_5376@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What didn’t you get a phone case

keep it that way, adds character 😆

[–] _Big_Orange_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Where all the anti case people at now?
