Hi, I hope this is an appropriate place to post this question. I was wondering if there was a lemmy instance that would mirror some subreddits and their posts? I was thinking that one way it could work is essentially all posts that meet certain criteria would also be scraped by a bot and posted in the lemmy instance. If this is a new idea, what would it take to setup such instance?

Thank you, I didn’t know that existed!

It doesn't work like you'd hope. No discussion on links to threads.

Hopefully soon they won't have content to pull from. 🥹

Instead of incentivizing people to continue posting on Reddit, maybe it's better to start posting original content here first.

If Lemmy users know a post is an automatic mirror from Reddit, they're less likely to engage with it.
