Wild claims have suggested King Charles III allegedly flew a "UFO craft" which saw the at-the-time Prince of Wales "save lives" after a disastrous "Tesla coil" implosion.

The King of England had allegedly been part of Project Scorpio, according to a former colleague, who worked as a diver alongside the monarch at Sandy Point in Canada.

Now, it is bizarrely claimed an unidentified flying object, allegedly piloted by then Prince Charles in the 70s, saw the head of the Royal Family save the lives of some researchers after a successful retrieval mission.

Piloting the Sikorsky prototype rotary craft proved dangerous following an electrical failure, which is said to have been caused by the Tesla coils it was powered by.

...

"King Charles and his 845 Squadron Air Crew extracted the prototype Sikorsky after the original engineers had been drowned thus murdered by the vandals and terrorists."

The diver added: "The uncontrolled event would have caused mass death of tens of thousands across three counties of people: Shelburne, Queen's and Lunenburg.

Quick actions from the at-the-time Prince meant "tens of thousands" of lives were saved by the Royal Navy, while NubTV aired the unconfirmed allegations of King Charles piloting an unidentified aircraft.

...

Although it sounds like a plot Force 10 From Navarone would delight in detailing, the diver was dead serious when he claimed the King had navigated through an electric storm and saved lives.

...

NubTV is broadcast Tuesdays 9pm to 10pm on Ayozat TV, Channel 186 on Sky

I was going to suggest this is nonsense but then they said their source was "dead serious" so it definitely isn't.

Now I'm off to watch... squints... NubTV on Ayozat TV channel. Sounds legit and not just random letters.

I was all for dismissing it as nonsense until I realised it was printed in that cornerstone of factual reporting, the Daily Star. Not quite as trustworthy as the Sunday Sport, but I trust their impeccable fact checking and guess it'll be in the Sunday Sport next week anyway.

"The Daily Star: staying one step ahead of the Daily Sport - we report nonsense other people have made up."

Nobody talks shit about the Sunday Sport on my Internet.

Is this marketing for the next series of Doctor Who?

[–] Emperor 6 points 1 year ago

Charlie Three must have been thinking about how to top the Queen's parachuting out of a helicopter for the Olympics, and the RTD's offer arrived...

He was riding in the seat behind Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum, which is why you didn't see him.

Ah yes, the dreaded and all too common Tesla coil implosion. Those damn things threaten tens of thousands of lives every few decades.

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

All they had to do was to reverse the polarity, they would've had a tesla coil implosion which is far less dangerous.

When I ramble mad shit while tripping balls it doesn't make it to the news...

You need to speak to NubTV, they'll clearly broadcast any old tosh.

I thought that this was common knowledge.

To all you dedicated Royal-watchers but the ordinary man-in-the-streer has been oblivious to his behind-the-scenes heroics.

How soon will AI tech be cheap enough and good enough to generate me a cinematic video of this? It sounds ace.

Six months at this pace.

Optimistic given he has someone to squeeze toothpaste for him

[–] Emperor 8 points 1 year ago

In all fairness, they don't mention toothpaste at all here. He may have had his toothpaste lackey along for the jaunt just in case things got serious.

I think I just had a stroke

[–] Emperor 4 points 1 year ago

Just be careful not to mention this in their assessment of any long-term damage.

"So tell me what you remember of the event."

"Well Prince Charles was in his flying saucer on his way to deal with a Tesla coil implosion in Canada and..."
